QUESTION: Councillor D. Richardson

"Can the Manager report on families looking to downsize Council property in Tallaght- what is the process, what is the timeframe?"

REPLY:

129 households with Council and Approved Housing Body (AHB) tenancies, have been approved for a transfer to downsize to accommodation that better suit their current housing needs. Of these, 18 households were also approved on medical grounds.

Facilitation of transfers is dependent on the availability of suitable housing stock and having regard to those on the Council's Housing List.

To date this year, five transfers have been completed with tenants looking to downsize within this electoral area.
