QUESTION: Councillor N. Whelan

"Could the Manager please provide an update on the progress on the houses at 24, 24a, 24b, and 24c St. Maelruan's Park?"

REPLY: 

Four properties in St. Maelruan’s Park, Tallaght, Dublin 24 were compulsorily acquired under the Derelict Sites Act and title was vested to South Dublin County Council. The properties were approved for funding under Urban Regeneration and Development Fund (URDF) Call 3. Minor refurbishment works have been undertaken to make the properties more suitable for private sale for residential use. It is anticipated that the properties will be made available on the market for sale with preference to first time buyers, once all legal formalities have concluded.

As the properties are on the Derelict Sites register, an application for the Vacant Property Refurbishment Grant including the derelict top up grant can be made by the purchasers subject to the terms and conditions of the grant.
