That a site be identified without delay for the boules court at Firhouse Community Centre for which Firhouse Men's Shed were allocated funding some years ago.

REPORT:

In 2021, Firhouse Men’s Shed was awarded funding under the Community Enhancement Scheme, through the LCDC, to develop a boules court on the grounds of Firhouse Community Centre, subject to local approval. At that time, there was no obligation for Community Services to engage further with the project beyond the allocation of funding.

We acknowledge that the group now requires additional support. Accordingly, we will engage with colleagues in Public Realm to assess the feasibility of advancing the scheme.
