QUESTION: Councillor P. Cosgrave

To ask the Manager to include in the tree planting programme the kerbside green areas along Anne Devlin Park. There are many green areas there without trees.

REPLY:

Anne Devlin Park will be listed for consideration for inclusion on an upcoming Tree Planting Programme. Prior to any areas being listed for planting they are assessed for suitability to ensure any planted trees can grow and develop working to the idea of ‘right tree, right place’. While there are many green verges in Anne Devlin Park, there are also many covered by overhead lines as well as underground services which must be taken into consideration. 

Following these assessments, any suitable spaces will be listed for planting.
