MOTION: Councillor S. Barnes

That the Chief Executive re-assess the rumble strips that have been placed recently on the road at Ford's Bridge, The residents of two houses very close by would like the need for these strips to be reviewed, as traffic has to go very slowly anyway, but the noise from vehicles going over the strips is impacting negatively on these residents.

REPORT:

There have been a number of bridge strikes at Fort Bridge over the last year including a significant incident where the parapet wall was knocked. Rumble strips were installed on both approaches so that approaching vehicles would reduce their speed in advance of the bridge.

The area engineer will review the design on the southern approach to try resolve the issues the residents have
