MOTION: Councillor P. Kearns

That this committee calls on the manager to upgrade the entrances to Greentrees Park (five acres) in line with the excellent work done at the section known as the eight acres. The work done to date has proven to be a huge success however, the access points to the five acres are very poor and potentially a health and safety risk due to the nature of the surface

REPORT:

Greentrees Park has recently been upgraded with a €250,000 investment from South Dublin County Council spanning across the 5 acres and 8 acres. The access point that has been identified is an informal desire line and is not an official entrance into the park. If this area committee agrees, the proposed entrance will be considered for inclusion in the 2026 Public Realm Improvement Works list, which is presented to the ACM in January and noted at the full council meeting.
