REPLY:

The following report went to the January 2025 OP&F meeting.

At the November Meeting of the Organisation, Procedure and Finance Committee, the Members agreed to defer nominations to the Participatory Budgeting Initiative Steering Group until the January 2025 OP&F meeting.

South Dublin County Council are seeking seven (7) Councillor nominees to the Participatory Budget Steering Group. The Mayor will be an ex officio member of the steering group, in addition to the seven nominees. The initial task of the Steering Group will be to progress the recommendations of the evaluation report carried out by Dr. Rob Worrall that was presented to the OP&F Committee at the September 2024 meeting.

This is now before the Organisation, Procedure and Finance Committee for consideration.

Councillor E. Murphy proposed the following Members to sit on the Participatory Budget Steering Group:

• Councillor P. Kearns
• Councillor V. Casserly
• Councillor W. Carey
• Councillor D. Adelaide
• Councillor M. Duff
• Councillor A. Hayes.

The nominees were seconded by Councillor L. Dunne and AGREED.

This is now before full Council for final approval.
