MOTION: Councillor M. Duff

"At the request of the residents, this Area Committee calls for the removal of the Liberty Recycling Bin from Kingswood Shopping Centre Carpark, due to the excessive amount of bags dumped around the bin and this is leading to littering in the Carpark?"

REPORT:

Contact has been made with the textiles recycling contractor Liberty Recycling Ltd on this matter and they have been asked to remove the bring bank from it's current location at the Kingswood Shopping Centre car park and to relocate it to a more suitable location.  Due to the increasing problem of textiles being disposed of in the general waste bin it is considered necessary to try to maintain and expand the textile recycling service.
