MOTION NO. 3

MOTION: Councillor T. Gilligan

That this Area Committee agrees to install a footpath on the Peamount Hospital Road to be extended to reach the end of the road to make it safe to walk to Clondalkin, following a recent fatality in this location due to lack of footpath / lighting.

REPORT:

The construction of this section of footpath is on the Capital Programme for delivery. Discussions have been held with landowners where necessary and a design has been prepared.

The delay to delivering this scheme is due to a number of utilities indicating they may have work on that stretch of road in the coming years and if that is the case we need to ensure no conflict of work prior to us investing money in the area
