REPLY:

The following item went to the November OP&F meeting.

A request was submitted by Councillor Timmons to amend the Flag Policy to the Irish flag from 24^th to 29^th April each year to commemorate the 1916 Rising.

In accordance with the Council's Flag Policy the request was referred to CPG for consideration and it was decided to bring this request to amend the Flag Policy to OP&F.  Should this be agreed, Section 2.0 Occasions on which the National Flag is to be flown in the attached Flag Policy will be amended to include the flying of the National Flag  24^th to 29^th April each year to commemorate the 1916 Rising.

The item was APPROVED on the proposition of Councillor Baby Pereppadan and seconded by Councillor R. Mannion and AGREED

This is now before full Council for final approval.
