MOTION NO. 12

MOTION: Councillor J. Spear

"The area committee requests the manager urgently consider accepting the transfer of land from St. Kevin's Church, Kilnamanagh, Tallaght - owned by St. Laurence O'Toole Diocesan Trust - so that public lights can be installed outside St. Kevin's Family Resource Centre?"

REPORT:

The council have reviewed this motion and would be of the opinion that the transfer of title is not warranted and that this could be dealt with through the Taking In Charge process.

It would be the responsibility of St. Kevin's Church to offer this land for TIC in accordance with SDCC's TIC process.

With respect to the need for lights along the path, any areas taken in charge should be to the correct standard and not result in additional expenditure for the council to incur.
