QUESTION: Councillor K. Warren

“To ask the Manager to give an update on the current proposals to realign the Greenhills Road, particularly as it relates to residents who live on Birchview Avenue, and residents who live on the adjoining three cul de sacs off the Greenhills Road, the likely timescale in terms of the construction of this realignment, and if he will make a statement on the matter?”

 

REPLY:

The Part 8 report for this road scheme provided for:

(i) A new acoustic wall would be constructed between Birchwood Avenue and Treepark Road; and

(ii) The existing rear boundary walls at Parkview Estate would be upgraded, if necessary, to achieve proper/adequate noise attenuation.

It is anticipated that construction works will commence in Autumn 2007 approximately, with a duration at this location of about nine months.
