MOTION NO.3
MOTION: Councillor A. Edge
That the hedges / trees in Ballycragh Park be maintained to ensure the pathways are accessible to buggies / wheelchairs, in particular the section crossing the stream close to Killinniny Rd which park users say is hazardous due to overgrowth of bushes and low hanging branches.
REPORT:
The winter hedge-cutting programme carried out annually by the Council's Public Realm Section has just commenced and will run until the end of February next. Ballycragh Park hedges are included in the programme and will be attended to in the coming weeks. In addition to this, tree pruning will be done to crown-raise trees. Any sections of path which are obstructed by hedges and are in urgent need of attention will be dealt with in the coming days.
