QUESTION: Councillor M. Corr

"To ask the Manager if he is aware of the concern of parents at *details supplied with regard to speeding and if he will direct that appropriate warning signs be erected and ramps installed at the earliest opportunity?"

 

REPLY:

In response to a large number of requests for traffic calming measures throughout the Council’s administrative area the Council’s Transportation Strategic Policy Committee at its meeting on the 11^th May 2006 adopting a new Traffic Calming programme comprising of four schemes in each of the Council’s five electoral areas.  The selection of each individual scheme will be made by the relevant Area Committee.

The area in question is on the traffic calming request list for the Tallaght South Electoral area.
