QUESTION: Councillor K. Warren
“To ask the Manager if he would agree to consider at the earliest possible time, the need to place a number of speed ramps on Wood Dale Drive in Ballycullen, if in the context of progressing the application on behalf of residents in the area, if he would consider taking a contribution from residents, were it to be provided for the purposes of providing such ramps, and if he will make a statement on the matter?”
REPLY:
In response to a large number of requests for traffic calming measures throughout the Council’s administrative area the Council’s Transportation Strategic Policy Committee at its meeting on the 11th May 2006 adopting a new Traffic Calming programme comprising of four schemes in each of the Council’s five electoral areas. The selection of each individual scheme will be made by the relevant
Wood Dale Drive is on the traffic calming request list for the Tallaght South electoral area. The funding for this traffic calming programme will be from the Council’s own resources.
