Section 179A of the Planning and Development Act 2000 (as amended) – Proposed Social and Affordable Mixed Tenure Housing Development on Council land at Castlefield, Knocklyon, Dublin 16

The drawings attached outline the proposed mixed tenure housing development located at Castlefield, Knocklyon, Dublin 16. The The proposal provides for the construction of a total of 31 new homes as detailed below:

The proposal contains 9 universal design homes and will be allocated to social tenants under either our age-friendly or medical needs requirement, as appropriate.
Next Steps
- Screenings for Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) and Appropriate Assessment (AA) will be carried out in respect of the proposed development.
- The 179A notice will be published by the end of June’24 in a locally circulating newspaper and on our consultation portal.
- Prepare tender for appointment of build and design contractor for the development.
