QUESTION NO.8
QUESTION: Councillor S. Moynihan
To ask the Chief Executive about customer attendance in Palmerstown library, since the introduction of additional opening hours.
REPLY:
Palmerstown Library began opening on new hours the week of 23rd October. November 2023 was the first full month on the newly extended opening hours. Visitor numbers increased from 648 in September to 1399 in November. December visitor figures were down slightly to 920. This can be accounted for by the fact that the library service was closed from Saturday 23rd December - Wednesday 3rd March. The highest footfall takes place on Wednesdays and Saturdays at around 11am.
