QUESTION: Councillor T. Costello

"Following up from my motion in TAC May 2023 Monday, May 22, 2023 MOTION NO.8 MOTION: Councillor T. Costello "Tallaght Library is a wonderful much utilised amenity in Tallaght, can funds be allocated and a focus be made on modernising and upgrading the Library?" "Can I get an update on the status of works being carried out?"

REPLY:

There are two strands to the improvements at Tallaght Library, an annual programme and a longer-term objective on the capital programme. Last year around €25,000 was set aside for the annual programme, with the same earmarked for 2024. In addition, County Architects will provide services to EETD in relation to existing library upgrades and refits as required for the Library. A scoping exercise in relation to the capital project will take place before the summer.
