QUESTION: Councillor P. Holohan
“Could you please provide the number of hotels within the remit of the Tallaght ACM. Could you please provide the number of these hotels that are open for bookings for tourism as of today's date and how many are in use for other purposes ie homeless hubs, Direct provision, Ukrainian accommodation, IPAS accommodation?”
REPLY:
There are 4 hotels within the remit of the Tallaght ACM and these 4 hotels are currently open for bookings for tourism.
The Department of Children, Equality, Disability, Integration and Youth (DCEDIY) has responsibility for the International Protection Accommodation Service (IPAS) and Beneficiaries of Temporary Protection (BOTP).
The Dublin Region Homeless Executive (DRHE)is the lead statutory authority on the response to homelessness and adopts a shared service approach across the Dublin region on behalf of Dublin City, South Dublin, Fingal County and Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Councils.
The DRHE manages two facilities within South Dublin County Council’s administrative area that previously operated as hotels, 1 of these facilities is within the remit of the Tallaght ACM.
