QUESTION: Councillor W. Carey

To ask the Chief Executive for an explanation and reason why temporary safety barriers and guard rails have been left on site in a discarded manner outside commercial premises on Ninth Lock Rd for the past 6 weeks and throughout the Christmas and holiday period despite representations being made to have them removed.

REPLY:

The contractor was contacted in advance of the Christmas period and instructed to remove any unnecessary TM equipment from site for the holiday period. We will engage again with the contractor to find out what the circumstances were over the holiday season and why
