QUESTION: Councillor C. O'Connor

"To ask the CEO to update members on all works at Tallaght Stadium and will he table a statement?"

REPLY:

Work on the new North Stand and enhancements to the West Stand and South Stand upgrades at Tallaght Stadium will be substantially complete this month, with only minor ancillary works outstanding. 

The development includes the new North Stand, the revamped Corporate and Hospitality areas of the Main Stand as well as the improved accessible seating and the Changing Places Facility in the South Stand.

All these developments will bring the Stadium capacity to 10,000 and will enhance the experience of those attending football matches at the Stadium, as well as for the other activities like Conferences, concerts, meetings, business and community events that will take place at the venue.

The Council looks forward to welcoming spectators to the new North Stand, as soon as is practical, once all works are completed. It is envisaged that an official opening to mark the new improved facilities will be organised at a suitable future date.
