MOTION: Councillor T. Gilligan

That this Area Committee request to change the bollards between the two estates to a swing gate - Oakwood/St. Patricks.

REPORT:

SDCC’s roads department, in accordance with guidance from the Department of Transport and NTA, no longer install swinging gates on pedestrian/shared routes. These gates are an impediment for wheelchair users and buggies and as a result create a barrier to use of these links by these two groups.
