QUESTION: Councillor E. Ó Broin

To ask the Chief Executive when the draft Camac Flood Alleviation Scheme will be published?

REPLY:

The scheme is currently in the optioneering phase of the Preliminary Design Stage. This is where defence types and locations will be established to defend against a 1 in 100 year event. Once the optioneering is completed, public consultations will be held to allow stakeholders to view and comment on the options presented. It is expected that these consultations will take place in Q1 2024.

The Preliminary Design Stage is currently scheduled to be completed in Q2 2024, where further consultations will take place on the final option.
