QUESTION: Councillor K. Mahon

"To ask the manager to update on the upgrading of the entrance to Brookfield Community Centre?"

REPLY:

The Community Services Dept and Architectural Services Dept have been liaising with local Board of Management of the Brookfield Youth & Community Centre to assist with progressing the upgrade of the main entrance door into the centre.

Funding has been allocated to assist with the costs of the works via the Council's Community Infrastructure Fund (€13,000 of funding allocated and included on the Community Infrastructure Fund grant list noted at the Council meeting in July).

A contractor has now bee appointed to complete the replacement and upgrade of the main entrance door, the new door and materials were ordered last week and we have been informed the works should be completed within 6-8 weeks, waiting on the delivery and supply of the door and materials.
