QUESTION: Councillor C. O'Connor

"To ask the CEO to present an up to date report on the Age Friendly Housing Projects under construction in Tallaght; will he confirm the expected completion dates in each case and will he also detail work being undertaken to allocate the Units and may we have a statement?"

REPLY:

The contractor for the age friendly development of 12 homes at Brady’s Field Old Bawn commenced on site in August 2022. The construction programme for this development is on track to deliver in Q4 2023.

In relation to the age friendly schemes being delivered by Clúid AHB, the advised timeline for completion of the homes at Maplewood and Fernwood is Q4 2023, with Whitestown Way also due for delivery in Quarter 4 of 2023. These projects are being closely monitored to ensure satisfactory progress.

Preparations are currently underway in the Housing Allocation Unit with prospective tenants for the allocation of these new age friendly homes.
