QUESTION: Councillor T. Gilligan

To ask the manager if it is legal to park an RV on a public road?

REPLY:

South Dublin County Council imposed a ban on the parking of vehicles of 3 tonne and over on public roads within its administrative area with the exception of roads within Industrial Estates. The ban became effective on 16^th February, 2004 and is enforced by An Garda Siochana.

The legality of an RV parking on a public road (not within an Industrial Estate) would be based on it's weight so an exact answer cannot be provided
