QUESTION: Councillor C. O'Connor

"To ask the CEO to detail any plans for the further development of facilities at Dodder Valley Park and in reporting will he confirm what steps are being taken to ensure the safety of all those using this important and well used Park and will he make a statement?"

REPLY:

The Council intends to install a teen space within Dodder Valley Park in 2023 which will compliment the newly added play spaces and revamped basketball and tennis courts. In addition to this in line with the Park Management plan additional picnic benches will be provided during Q3/Q4 of 2023. The grass pitches in Dodder Valley Park are due to be upgraded to facilitate further extensive usage.

Regarding safety, the Council’s Park Rangers regularly visit the park on a daily basis and liaise with the community gardai in relation to any issues that come to their attention.
