QUESTION: Councillor C. O'Connor

"To ask the CEO if he is aware of the upset of the residents of Brookmount that there is still no progress in respect of their need to have the name changed as previously agreed; will he confirm any recent contacts with the Department of Housing, Local Government and Heritage in respect of the matter; will he give assurances and make a statement?"

REPLY:

Corporate Services contacted the Department of Housing, Local Government & Heritage requesting an update on legislation to facilitate the plebiscite process.  The Department have informed that no progress has been made to date.  Corporate will continue to liaise with the Department on this matter.
