The Council's budget for re-let works in 2023 is €4.5m. The Department of Housing, Local Government and Heritage have allocated South Dublin funding of €1.540m with a target of refurbishment and re-let of 140 properties up to a maximum funding of €11,000 per dwelling.

The Council has also been allocated €338,415 for planned maintenance works which includes provision for the completion of stock condition surveys. This funding will support the transition from a Voids to a Planned Maintenance approach to stock management and maintenance.

A new Framework has been established for the Refurbishment of Occupied / Vacant Dwellings and Associated Minor Works.  Five external contractors have been appointed based on Local Electoral Areas. This will enable increased responsiveness of contractors.
