QUESTION: Councillor M. Johansson

To ask the Chief Executive to provide a report on the number of HAP/HHAP/RAS tenancies in the Lucan/Palmerstown/North Clondalkin that have been ended or received a notice to quit in 2023 and what action, if any, has been taken for the re-housing of the tenants?

REPLY:

There are currently 99 HHAP tenancies, 90 HAP tenancies and 69 RAS tenancies with Notice to quit to date in 2023 county wide. 

The Council is working with tenants and landlords to offer all available supports including looking to acquire the properties where the landlord wishes to sell to the Council with tenant in situ.  All efforts are made to ensure families are not required to avail of homeless services.
