QUESTION: Councillor David McManus

To ask the Chief Executive to consider measures to reduce the speed of cars taking the left turn onto Butterfield Park, from Butterfield Avenue, Rathfarnham and to ensure the faded-continuous white line on Butterfield Park is remarked to ensure no parking on this junction?

REPLY:

In relation to speeding, it may be possible to tighten the junction radius and simultaneously increase the footpath width to lower entry speeds into Butterfield Park from Butterfield Avenue.  The Traffic section will endeavour to complete this work as soon as we can.

The repainting of the solid white line at the entrance to Butterfield Park will be included in the next works order by our Maintenance Section
