QUESTION: Councillor Baby Pereppadan

"To ask the Chief Executive for an estimate on how much longer will be required for the 'Taking In Charge' process of Corbally Estate?"

REPLY:

The vast majority of the Corbally Estate is already Taken in Charge.

There are some works to carrry out on the Corbally Green in relation to new and existing paths and some minor road repair works in the Cul de Sacs within the estate.  There is also a foul sewer that has not been Taken in Charge.

The existing builder has ceased operations (wound up) and this has caused a delay in these finishing works being completed.

SDCC has negotiated a new contractor to do these works.  As soon as these have been completed SDCC will Take these remaining items in Charge.  

It is likely to take six months to complete the process.
