QUESTION: Councillor T. Costello

"Following on from a response received by another colleague in relation to 300k have your say project status update for Tallaght Central, I note the Kilnamanagh Project will not be going ahead will this money be now made available for the community or can submissions be reviewed and it be reallocated?"

REPLY:

The funding assigned for the winning project in question; "Basketball and tennis court in Kilnamanagh", cannot be used or transferred to a different project. This is because funding can only be allocated to projects voted on by citizens of the Tallaght Central Electoral Area.

The Participatory Budgeting (300k - Have Your Say) project will be externally evaluated and recommendations will be proposed for consideration of the incoming Council in 2024.
