QUESTION: Councillor M. Duff

"In view of the numbers of motor vehicles parked on both sides of the Tree Park Road, Kilnamanagh between the KFRC and the Wetlands site, will the Manager please inform this Area Committee if there is any intention to introduce traffic management at this location?"

REPLY:

Treepark Road varies in width from 9.1m wide to 7.1m at its narrowest. This roadwidth can comfortably accomodate parking while still allowing for the safe passage of vehicles in both directions. If cars are parked illegally e.g. in a manner which disrupts traffic or on the grass verge then this is illegal and must be enforced by An Garda Síochána. The Council does not recommend parking restrictions as some on street parking should be facilitated for local amenities such as Kilnamanagh AFC.
