QUESTION: Councillor M. Duff

"Would the Manager give a report to this Area Committee as to when the long overdue "Welcome to Tallaght" signs will be installed at the entry points to the County Town and will he also state if consideration is given to the design put forward for the signage by Tallaght Community Council?"

REPLY:

The traffic section will start discussions with the consultant on a programme to design, and install the Welcome to Tallaght Signage in the next month.  When we have design options available we will organise a workshop with the members to discuss the design of these important signs.

All suggestions by the Tallaght Communtity Council will be considered carefully.  A consistent approach to signage within all villages is one of the objectivs of this countywide strategy.  As the strategy develops, the workshops will take place with the members to discuss the development of this consistent strategy.
