QUESTION: Councillor K. Warren

“To ask the Manager if he would accept the need to erect a number of speed ramps on Verschoyle Avenue as a public safety measure, and accepting that the development has not yet been taken in charge, if the Council cannot do this work, would he approach the developer to see if this can be obtained, and if he will make a statement on the matter.”

 

REPLY:

The Transportation Strategic Policy Committee at its meeting on 11th May 06 adopted a new traffic calming programme comprising 4 schemes in each of the Council's 5 Electoral Areas. The selection of the individual schemes will be made by the respective Area Committee. Verschoyle Avenue is situated in the Tallaght South Electoral Area. It is proposed to arrange a meeting with the members of the Tallaght Area Committee with a view to selecting the new traffic calming schemes.
