QUESTION: Councillor F. Timmons

To ask the Chief Excecutive has SDCC applied for Heritage grants for St Cuthbert's Church, moat and cemetery: Can the County Council confirm that they are applying for all available heritage grants concerning St Cuthbert's Church, cemetery and moat as part of the overall plan for St Cuthbert's Park? A source of heritage grants was announced in the last few days.

REPLY:

As per the recently passed Part 8 for St. Cuthbert's Park; the first task to be carrried out relating to the relevant protected structures on site in St. Cuthberts is the condition assessment report. We have discussed same with SDCC's Architectural Conservation Officer and she recommends we apply for a BHIS grant at the start of 2023.
