QUESTION: Councillor T. Gilligan

To ask the Chief Executive to elaborate on what arrangement does it have with the GAA in regard to the GAA lands in Rathcoole adjacent to Rathcoole Park?

REPLY:

The Council at its meeting on 12th February 1996 agreed to dispose of 26 acres to the GAA and a variation to the terms of the disposal was approved by the Council at a further meeting on 8th February 2010. The GAA lands remain undeveloped and any plans for development would be brought by GAA. The Council do not have any arrangements with the GAA in this regard.
