QUESTION: Councillor E. Maloney

"To ask the Manager to take steps to re-instate the footpath at *details supplied which is cracked because of the roots of the tree which residents wish to preserve as it is dangerous for pedestrians to use the path in its present state?"

 

REPLY:

In normal circumstances the tree is removed at location similar to that outlined as the tree growth continues to raise the footpath. This area has been inspected and will be considered for scabbling as an initial exercise. However if the footpath continues to rise it will be necessary to have the tree removed.
