SOUTH DUBLIN COUNTY COUNCIL

QUESTION NO. 13
QUESTION: Councillor M. Murphy
"To ask the Manager what procedure if any must be followed to allow the residents on either side of the 6 metre wide Lane between Tamarisk Avenue and Tamarisk Park to take some of this lane into their Garden but still leaving a pedestrian right of way. In particular the residents on one side would need to take 1.5 metres into their garden to allow a home to be built for one of their children?"
REPLY:
The residents should initially ascertain what services are in this laneway and establish the cost of relocating them before considering the next step. Whilst the area is in charge of the Council it does not necessarily mean that the Council are the owners if the right of way is removed. Ownership should also be established.
