REPLY:
An update has been provided by Donal Shiels, Artistic Director, Civic Theatre:
"The Civic Theatre is looking forward to a busy December and Christmas period. The indications are that audiences are returning to previous levels. There is huge interest in future dates from local, national and international acts and artists. We will be announcing a full programme of exciting events for next year in December, covering the period January to April."
In addition, funding has been provided for 2023 to fund the work of the Cultural Quater Working Group. The Council has recently gone to tender for the development of public realm improvements from Innovation Square, through Chamber Square, to the Transportation Hub, the developments at the Square Town Centre, through to Tallaght Stadium and event centre, and access to the Dublin Mountains. These works will significantly enhance the physical environment of Chamber Square immediately adjacent to the front entraces of the Civic Theatre, Rua Red and Tallaght Library. The contractor is currently finalising their programme.
