QUESTION: Councillor F. Timmons

To ask the Chief Executive would he consider the allocation of additional bins in Saggart at the plaza and crossroads in cosultation with Saggart Village Residents group?

REPLY:

Saggart Village is currently serviced by 8 litter bins at the following locations -

• Two at the new plaza in the centre of the village,
• One at Jacob's pub,
• One at Centra,
• One at the church on garter Lane,
• One at the junction of Garter Lane and Citywest Drive,
• One at the bus stop on Garter Lane opposite the Citywest Jotel entrance, and   
• One at the site of the Schoolhouse Community Centre.  

The litter bins at the plaza, Centra and Jacob's pub are all within 50 metres of the main crossroads and for this reason it is considered that the village is adequately serviced by litter bins at the present time.
