MOTION NO. 10

MOTION: Councillor Eoin Ó Broin

That this Area Committee agrees to impose a 7.5 tonne HGV weight restriction in Newcastle Village. As such a weight restriction already exists on the nearby Athgoe Road, the proposal would merely extend the area of Newcastle with such status.

REPORT:

There will be a countywide HGV review conducted very shortly.  (Eearly New Year) Newcastle main street can be included in that review.
