QUESTION: Councillor S. O'Hara

To ask the Chief Executive to consider street lights to be extended up Boherboy Road, Saggart?

REPLY:

There is currently little development along much of the Boherboy road. As a consequence it is not thought that Public Lighting is required at this time.  There is currently no footpath along much of this road for the same reason.

However, in every future and pending planning application along the Boherboy road a public lighting and footpath design will be required as part of the that development.

For example in the current Boherboy SHD planning application there is a Public Lighting proposal.  Should this planning application be granted, public lighting along the Boherboy Road would be included in the construction items.
