"To ask the Chief Executive to issue a report into how Melrose footpaths can be made wheelchair safe and accessible, and will he give a commitment to carry out necessary works to meet this standard?"

REPORT:

The Area Inspector has had discussions with the Senior Engineer and this item is in hand. A Road Opening Licence has been applied for and the works will be complete once resources allow.
