QUESTION: Councillor F. Timmons
To ask the Chief Executive for an update report into what progress had been made on my below motion and to ask would he have this done by June in time for Pride Month?
"That this council put a Rainbow walk on at least one road Crossing in SDCC as a sympol of Equality and a visual symbol of the LGBTQ+ community. (https://gcn.ie/derry-permanent-rainbow-crossing/)"
REPLY:
The Council is supportive of providing a Rainbow crossing in South Dublin as a symbol of Equality forthe LGBTQ+ communtity. We are currently assessing possible locations and it is our intention to have a crossing installed before June 2022 and in time for Pride month this year.
