QUESTION: Councillor C. King
To ask the Chief Executive to provide an updated report on the estimated delivery dates of the Social & Voluntary Housing projects approved to commence in 2022 and those onsite and across the County at present with a particular emphasis on the over 55's Units and can he make a statement on the matter.

In relation to age friendly accommodation, 216 homes are currently under construction in Council and AHB developments at Springfield, Whitestown, Sallypark, Templeogue with estimated completion dates from Q2 2022 through to mid-2023 with 16 further age friendly homes in two developments at Old Lucan Road and Old Bawn due to commence in the coming months. Detailed design is progressing on 31 additional age friendly homes in recent Part 8 approved developments at St. Ronan's, St. Aongus' and Pearse Brothers Park with feasibility studies for further potential developments Alpine, Deansrath/Melrose also being progressed.
Our draft Housing Delivery Action Plan 2022-2026, outlining the proposed housing delivery programme in the County, including for age friendly housing, was shared with the Elected Members and submitted to the Department of Housing, Local Government and Heritage for consideration in December 2021. A formal response from DHLGH in this regard is awaited.
