REPORT FROM CORPORATE POLICY GROUP - AMENDMENT TO FLAG POLICY - FOR APPROVAL

REPLY:

Following receipt of a proposal from Cllr Francis Timmons to the Mayor, it was agreed at the February meeting of the Corporate Policy Group to amend the Flag Policy to include the flying of the Palestine flag on International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian people each year. The United Nations International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian People is observed annually on or around the 29th November.

This process was in accrodance with the Flags Protocol and is now before the Council for approval.
