"To ask the Chief Executive for a report into the harvesting of reeds in Corkagh Park and that SDCC explore with Friends of the Camac and the management of Corkagh Park with the possibility of harvesting the reeds in Corkagh Park for the making of St Brigid's Crosses."

REPLY:

The harvesting of reeds in Corkagh Park is subject to their suitability for removal having regard to minimising impact on the parkland setting in which they are growing. The Friends of the Camac should contact the Parks Supervisor based in Corkagh Depot to examine this matter further.
