MOTION: Councillor Yvonne Collins

This motion relates to Chapter 9: Economic Development and Employment, Submission SD-C195-19 on page 390 (or 387) of the report. Amend EDE 24 Objective 2 to add at the end of this objective the following words 'and to liaise with Coillte as appropriate'

REPORT:

EDE 24 Objective 2 states as follows 

‘To promote and facilitate the continued development of the Dublin Mountains Way and the Wicklow Way in association with the Dublin Mountains Partnership, particularly Permissive Access Routes that provide access to regional and local networks of walking, running, hiking and mountain bike trails and other recreational facilities provided that such routes/trails and their use does not significantly impact on environmentally sensitive sites.’ 

It is considered that the proposed amendment is reasonable and should be made. 

CE Recommendation:    

It is recommended that the motion is adopted EDE24 Objective 2 to read as follows;
